| Madeleine Fox, American Doll Artist, passed away in 1993 at age 91. Beginning in her 20s, she left behind a large doll collection of one-of-a-kind, magnificent dolls. Although she carved a name for herself as one of the country's noted doll makers, she also proved her talent and creativity in dancing and photography. Each of her dolls has a story and legend, some of which she made up. Some dolls took up to 4 months to complete, in a complicated and time-consuming process. She was a member of the Santa Barbara Doll Club where she had the only public exhibition of her magnificent dolls. Please view this doll collection in the Gallery of this site. |
